Student-Athletes are exactly what the title says: students and athletes. One is much more important than the other, although nobody will say it out loud. The NCAA generates nearly $11 Billion yearly from college sports, and none of the athletes get paid.

People say ‘they get a free education’, but did they ever think of all other students that are on a scholarship? Do they have a right to work and earn money? Yes.

Student-Athletes, who devote 43,3 hours per week on average for their sports, don’t have that right! Being an athlete is not a leisure activity, athletes are a working and marketing force for their respective universities, and this is why we believe they should be treated as employees. At least to some degree.

What do you think?
