It really is possible!
Happy birthday to us! 🙂 Even though we are only two years old, we feel like we’ve been around for years.
We are writing this blog post just as a reminder to all of us and all of you that anything and everything is possible. All you have to do is believe in what you are doing and work hard to make it happen.
In the past 12 months, we published 102 articles on various sports marketing and sports business topics, and sent out 12 newsletters to digital, social and marketing experts from top European football clubs and federations, as well as sports professionals from the NBA, NFL, NHL, MLS, handball clubs and federations, sports apparel manufacturers, television networks… If you would like to join the pack, just apply here.
If you remember, our first year (2015) was quite bumpy, with a lot of ups and downs, as everyone’s first year is, but we still managed to work on some big projects such as the Gymnastics Grand Prix in Osijek, IJF Judo Grand Prix in Zagreb, Damjan Rudež NBA camp in Croatia, and 2015 Men’s Handball World Championship with RTL Television, for which we won the 2015 SPORTO Media Award.
We are very happy with how the 2015 turned out because we made valuable contacts with many industry professionals, which in the end opened many doors to us in 2016.

2016
And this year was more then succesful. We renewed contracts and again worked on Gymnastics Grand Prix in Osijek, IJF Judo Grand Prix in Zagreb, and Damjan Rudež NBA camp.
We are now working with a Euroleague Top 16 team BC Cedevita Zagreb, and we helped them with complete rebranding at the beginning of 2016/17 season.
We launched the first eBook about the use of Snapchat in sports marketing which was a big success and is still selling all over the world.
Croatian Judo Federation signed a long-term deal with us to be their PR and event marketing team. We also worked on promotion of Geneva Basketball Academy in Switzerland (supported by NBA). During EURO 2016 in France, we (in cooperation with EPH, one of the biggest media groups in Croatia) ran a specialized website (Navijačnica.hr) dedicated to Croatian national team fans, which exceeded all of our expectations in terms of reach, engagement and the content fans produced themselves for our website and Facebook fan page.

One thing that we would like to emphasize came last on this list, and that is Football Fest. In collaboration with our partners, AB Sport, we organized and promoted the entire 4-day event which consisted of a conference, expo and a fun zone.
Besides these, we also signed contracts with Teamsport.hr, a sports apparel store, Futsal Dinamo, one of the most popular futsal clubs in Croatia, and helped organise a premiere of a sports documentary film about the life of the most decorated Croatian athlete, a paralympic swimmer Mihovil Španja.
In case we missed something, you can find a timeline of our work in our Road to Success.
Since we like to share knowledge, as well as learn from others, what better way to do this then by organizing workshops and lectures. For this reason, we have signed cooperation deals to be guest lecturers with a few colleges in Croatia. These are Edward Bernays College and Experta Business Academy. We also held presentations in Belgrade (Sport Conference), Rijeka (InspireMe conference), Zagreb (Cotrugli Business School) and Split (Aspira College), as well as a webinar about Snapchat in Sport hosted by Sports Business Institute Barcelona.

We have a great, compact and ‘plug and play’ team in Marijan, Vedran, Bruno and Niko. We also have to mention our guest bloggers Tomislav Žarković, Nikola Popović, Brankica Mandić, Luka Pauk, as well as our guestblogger from Sweden
All in all, it was a very succesful year, and the icing on our cake are two SPORTO Award nominations this year: Media Award for Navijačnica in cooperation with EPH Media and Rightsholder Award for Gymnastics Grand Prix in Osijek.
Give us your opinion, what can we do to improve? What do you like the most on our blog? Which Case study was most interesting to you?
