Since its launch in 1988, “Red Nose Day” has become something of a British institution. It is organized by a humanitarian organization Comic Relief. On March 13th, the whole world fights against poverty, hunger, HIV, child abuse, violence and other global problems with a unique weapon – fun and laughter, and the red nose symbolizes this fight.
KHL Medveščak is a club with many interesting ideas and great innovative and proactive marketing team, probably the best in this region. We already had a great story about them here on our blog. This time they decided to put on a red nose and support the “Red Nose Day” by dedicating it to the big national humanitarian campaign „Let no child in Croatian schools stay hungry“
They encouraged fans to take funny photos with a red nose, put hashtags #NoseForCause and #TogetherWeAre in photo caption and post it on their profile on any social network. For each photo with these hashtags Medveščak donated 4,5 kunas to the humanitarian association „Portal dobrote“ for schoolchildren meals.
Results are very impressive!
251 photo on Instagram with#noseforcause, 284 #noseforcause tweets, 305 Facebook posts about #noseforcause and 25.000 fans engaged on social media.
Thanks to the fans, celebrities, sport clubs and athletes, Medveščak secured 502 schoolchildren meals!
Club has created an emotional connection with fans, and together with them they care about the local community. Medveščak shows appreciation for their fans and community, and they have similar actions throughout the whole year. What did your club do for your local community?
